The two biggest shopping events of the year are just around the corner… BLACK FRIDAY & CYBER MONDAY, which means SALES, SALES, SALES.

Last year shoppers spent $6 Billion dollars in a 4 day period. 
6 BILLION!!!  That’s crazy!
 
Now that you have a better idea of how much shoppers are actually spending, it’s important that you have a thorough plan in place well in advance to increase brand awareness and drive sales during this 4-day span.  If you haven’t started planning yet, now is the time. 


Here are some tips to help you plan for two of the biggest shopping days of the year.


1.  START PROMOTING EARLY & CREATE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS IN ADVANCE
We are two weeks away, DO NOT WAIT ANOTHER DAY to start promoting and creating hype around your Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers! Sit down and map out a marketing plan. 
 
One of the best ways to drive traffic to your website is through social media.  However, you should be planning in advance.  During the holidays social media usage has a tendency to drop, therefore START EARLY!  START NOW!  Create some hype around the deals you will be offering. Make sure you create a content schedule & schedule your posts ahead of time. Also be sure you are posting good content and some great photos to go along with your offer.

If you want to stand out from your competitors, then create a unique promotion.  Try to think outside of the box.  Here are a few examples.

-Giveaways
-Percentage Off
-Buy one, Get One
 
3.  PREPARE FOR INCREASED SALES & DEMANDS
To prepare and manage for an increase in sales during this 4 day span, be sure to CREATE AN ACTION PLAN to help you stay on track for the holidays.

-Be sure the checkout process is flawless.
-Make sure you do not have any broken links.
 
4.  UTILIZE YOUR EMAIL LIST
Email is still the highest-converting tool.  With all of the social media ads, posts and deals, your best chance of converting your customers will be VIA EMAIL. Consider segmenting your list & send different promotions & content to different customers. 
 
5.  UPDATE YOUR SEO
Make sure your website is up to date on SEO.  SEO will help enhance your visibility on Google.  Be sure to check your website for URL, 404 pages and title tags.
